The biggest feature is that although it is a T-shirt, we aimed to create a pattern that fits the body like a dress shirt by adding sleeves later.

The cuffs and hem feature a modest, elegant yet strong stitch called Tenchihiki. This single stitch is a method also seen on vintage T-shirts, but is becoming rare due to its low production efficiency and the limited number of craftsmen who can sew it.

The fit is just right with just the right amount of comfort. This balance is cool for adults.

The sleeves and hems are stitched using a time-consuming, vertical stitching technique to make them look even more elegant.

The binder on the back of the collar is made of thin fabric to prevent roughness and improve comfort.

[About the fabric]

The fabric is produced by a long-established knitting company founded in Wakayama in 1907. The cotton is a blend of extra-long staple cotton (Supima) and spun using a method that reduces neps.

This special order yarn is made by twisting several fine single yarns together to create a rounded shape, after gas-scoring the surface to remove fuzz. This yarn is tightly knitted to create a fabric with a firm, rounded volume.

The round cross-section fabric has good penetration of radiation, resulting in beautiful color development. Furthermore, the clear surface and needle processing give it a luxurious feel.
