Auberge David Coverall Indigo

This design is inspired by the denim coveralls issued to the US Army in the 1940s. The pattern is designed to have a more three-dimensional form than those from that time. The upper collar and inner pockets are made of washable leather. 

This work denim is a reproduction of Levi's 1950s DENIM FAMILY denim, made from 100% West Indian Sea Island Cotton.

The yarn structure is a completely custom-made 7/- warp yarn and 14/- weft yarn, which were spun over and over again to faithfully recreate the uneven texture of the spinning machines used in the 1950s when DENIM FAMILY was produced. The warp yarn is dyed using 100% pure indigo synthetic dye, without any additives, using a rope dyeing machine to recreate the same light, blue-toned hue as the original.
