A Vontade Coal Mine Blouse Indigo
This short jacket is inspired by the jackets worn by coal miners in the early 1900s.
It's crafted from 11.5oz denim with a strong, rough texture using tightly twisted indigo yarn.The selvedge denim has a vintage look thanks to nep yarns woven into the weft.
The front features a simple design with a single pocket on the left.
Tucks are added to both the back and front to create a rounded silhouette.
The neckline, which slopes downward in the front, is inspired by jackets from that era, and features a small collar and smaller-than-usual tuck buttons.
All stitching is done with cotton thread.
Side slits and a sliding buckle at the waistband allow for variation in the waist silhouette.
